Dr. Grimes is a licensed psychologist specializing in children and families.  Through her private practice she offers individual and family treatment, psychological testing, autism assessments, school consultations, and parent-child enrichment groups. After completing an MPH at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Grimes was awarded her PhD in psychology from Vanderbilt University.  She completed both her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology through the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry at the Bingham Child Guidance Center, where she also served as clinical faculty.  Dr. Grimes opened her private practice in 2000 and began working extensively with the 0-3 population through the First Steps early intervention program.  She has seen children up to age 18 and their families through her private practice and also provided clinical psychological services at the Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Initiative in the past. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Grimes has taught at Bellarmine University, University of Louisville, and Spalding University where she also supervised graduate psychology practicum students, and is currently the Director of Professional Affairs for the Kentucky Psychological Association.
